Yes.
As a Tyrian character you can get a few heroes pretty quickly. A Necro (Tyria quest avail. once you get NF), Warrior, Monk and Dervish (as soon as you step outside) and a choice of an Elemtentalist or Ranger upon completion of a couple of easy quests. If you're going to get both, just get those heroes right away and then go do Factions if you like to do things in order. That has the benefit of allowing you to level your heroes up quickly too. |

By the "original" version, I also mean as in the version with the original Prophecies (not the golden border beta one, the retail Prophecies one) interface, the prophecies character screen, etcetera, things like that.
